Well for those of you who don't know what it means to be a {KEPT man}...it entails being a man who is financially supported by a wealthy, usually older, person (usually a woman) who is neither the man's spouse nor his close relative. Within this type of relationship, the man is offering this older woman [his time and body] in exchange for [material goods], and a [raise in his status] among other things. Personally, a woman should never have to be in a position to HAVE to "keep" a man. The sole purposes of being a kept man are to provide [quality time and sex], for lack of better terminology. If that woman was in a loving relationship with a man of her own, she wouldn't feel the need to basically "hire" this type of man to provide what she is lacking. Yet, a lot of times, these type of women don't desire these type of men because they are lacking something in their lives, they just want to feel a sense of empowerment...and, in this context, dealing out cash and/or other material things to men for whatever services they provide helps them achieve that goal.
